Membership into the IACAI offers discounted training seminars, a quarterly newsletter with current crash investigation issues and techniques, and access to a large host of accident investigators, allowing a member to network with many other experienced investigators.
Yearly membership dues costs $35.00 for regular members and $45.00 for associate members. Training seminars have a normal cost of $75.00, which is discounted to $50.00 for members.
Training seminars are normally held in March, June, September, and November, and cover crash investigation topics that are current issues, and those topics that are requested by it's members. Seminars are generally one day in length, offering 5 1/2 hours of ILEA credited inservice training for each seminar. Seminar locations are held in different regions across the state, with one seminar north, two central, and one in the southern region of the state, thus reducing the amount of driving an officer may have to travel throughout the year.
