About this seminar:
What is D2S? The Data to Science (D2S) platform is an innovative initiative designed to facilitate data
sharing and collaboration, specializing in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) data. D2S allows users to
process UAV images into a point cloud format from a free open-source platform offering a data
repository without any cost barriers. Originally designed for agriculture and forestry research, D2S
found that its unique features and tools afford capabilities for law enforcement utilizing UAV’s. After
lunch, we will cover the UAV process checklist that law enforcement should be utilizing to document all
processes and evidentiary records involving UAV scenes. Finally, we will demonstrate how to utilize
data from D2S, CloudCompare, and other point cloud sources in your UAV documented scenes.
